In this case these jokers at DxE have a very well-defined game plan, they are led by Wayne who is extremely articulate and well educated. He has studied human rights acquisition in civilization and how the civil rights and other rights organizations have made progress over a period of decades not just a few years.
With this in mind he's actually drafted a document and shared it with others to accomplish their goals, which are namely the complete freedom for all animals in the United States through an animal "Bill of Rights" amendment to the United States Constitution. Sound far-fetched? I don't think so. By stealing young, vulnerable animals from farms, people's homes and your front yard, these folks will bring a spotlight to bear on the whole process of keeping animals. Sometimes keeping animals is a dirty and smelly situation.
Essentially DxE is capitalizing on the fact that a lot of these "open rescue's" are done in total darkness, in barns and animal facilities that are dusty and dirty, that's the nature of the business – since people have never been more removed from their food, most folks don't know what they're looking at, it's just dirty and nasty, and that can't be good right?
Additionally Wayne knows that if he simply tells people "hey I'm showing my face because I'm proud of what I do, we're simply taking sick and dying animals to the Vet, that's what any decent person would do…" That people will sympathize with this and think that everything he's doing is above board.
The bottom line is nothing could be further from the truth. The animals stolen from us were perfectly healthy, one of them was less than a week old and taken from its mother ... a brutal action, and then basically force-fed milk during the following days live on camera on Facebook to gain money for this organization. In the process they gave it aspiration pneumonia and almost killed it. Of course then that became our problem, they started advertising on Farcebook that it had pneumonia when it was stolen from us to begin with!
So all roads lead to "send us more money so we can continue this great work" and again the process is that an open rescue is simply stealing young, cute and easy to transport and most likely healthy animals from farms and ranches around the country and then saying that they are sick and that's why they're doing it, send more money… Did I mention that part?
Here's the document that they posted. If you don't think they're serious think again.
The way to fight this is with the truth.
These folks have selected themselves as the self-appointed guardians of farm animals everywhere.
As far as they're concerned farms are bad, eating meat is bad, keeping animals for any purpose other than letting them roam around of their own accord at a sanctuary farm is bad. It's all bad and nobody should have animals…
